What the push & tilt does
The camera pushes toward the feature while the lens climbs to the ceiling. Walk toward the feature as the lens climbs to the ceiling.
See the move
Pushes in and tilts up. Push in while tilting up. Inside the app, every move also has a 3D preview of the rig and the exact photo map it asks for.
Best rooms for a push & tilt
- Vaulted living rooms
- Rooms with a feature wall that runs up to a high ceiling
- Stairwells and atriums
- Churches, barns and conversions with height
The 3 photos to take
Take them in one visit, in the same light. The first photo is where the clip opens and the last is where it lands, so shoot them in the order the camera should travel.
- 1
Wide, eye level
From the back of the room, photograph the feature at eye level — this is the opening frame.
- 2
Closer, angled up
Halfway forward, angling up so the tops of the walls are in frame.
- 3
Close and up
Near the feature, angled up at the ceiling or upper windows — where the move finishes.
Tips for a better push & tilt
- Start wide at eye level so the first photo shows the whole feature.
- Angle the phone up a little more with each step forward.
- Finish close and looking up at the ceiling, beams or upper windows.
Mistakes to avoid
- Tilting all the way up on the first step, leaving nothing for the rest of the move.
- Walking past the feature instead of toward it.
- A ceiling photo with no part of the feature wall still in frame.

Questions
How many photos does a push & tilt need?
3 photos of the same room: first wide, eye level, then closer, angled up, last close and up. Take them in one visit in the same light — the push & tilt opens on the first and lands on the last.
When is push and tilt better than a plain tilt up?
When the feature is at the far end of the room. A tilt up from the doorway shows the ceiling above the door; a push and tilt arrives at the feature first and then lifts, so the height you show is the height that matters.
Is the push & tilt included on every Villenza plan?
Yes — the push & tilt, like every travel move, is on every plan at the same 720p HD output; plans differ only in listings per month.
