Why it matters
Zillow is where many buyers see a listing first, and a video on the listing page is watched by people who have already stopped. It is the highest-intent place a walk-through can be.
Step by step
- 1Host the wide walk-through — YouTube, your site, or your MLS's tool — as an unbranded cut if the MLS requires it.
- 2Add the link in the MLS's virtual-tour or video field, not the remarks.
- 3Wait for syndication and check the Zillow listing page.
- 4Check your Zillow agent dashboard for a direct video option and use it if offered.
- 5Keep the branded reel for your own channels; portals often strip or reject branding.
What goes wrong
- A branded video in a field the MLS says must be unbranded — it gets pulled.
- The link in the remarks, where portals do not read it.
- Assuming last year's Zillow feature still exists.
The judgement call
The MLS route is reliable and portal-agnostic; the same link reaches Realtor.com and the rest. The MLS guide covers the branding rules.
Questions
Do I need a special format for Zillow?
A standard MP4 hosted somewhere the MLS accepts, linked through the MLS. Villenza's download is a standard MP4.
Can I upload directly to Zillow?
Sometimes, depending on their current tools and your account type. Check the dashboard; the MLS link works regardless.
