How Do I Make an Open-House Video?

An open-house video is the listing's highlight reel with the day and the time as the title card, posted two days before, and repeated the morning of. At the house, a QR code opens the same video for visitors; that evening, the people who scanned get a follow-up with the walk-through and your number.

Before

The 20-second reel — four rooms, the exterior last — retitled with 'Open house Saturday 1–3'. Post it two days out on Instagram and Facebook, and boost it to a radius if you want the neighbours. Post the morning of as a Story.

During

A QR code at the door and the island opens the walk-through with a sign-in beside it. Visitors leave with the house in their pocket.

After

The same evening, a text or email to everyone who signed in with the walk-through link and a line about the offer timeline. The video is what they rewatch when they compare the houses they saw that day.

Questions

Should I film the open house itself?

No — people in the frame are a privacy and fair-housing problem. The house is the subject.

How many open-house posts?

Two days before, the morning of, and a 'thanks for coming' Story after. The clips are the same; the titles change.
