Why it matters
Your Business Profile is what appears when a seller searches your name after a referral. Recent posts and video signal activity, and activity is what a seller comparing agents is looking for.
Step by step
- 1Open the profile's Updates and add a post with the vertical or square cut, under the current length and size limit.
- 2Write two lines: the neighbourhood, the price, one sentence.
- 3Add the clip to the media tab as well.
- 4Repeat monthly with the newest listing; remove sold listings' posts or retitle them.
- 5Ask a happy client to leave a review the same week — posts and reviews compound.
What goes wrong
- Letting the profile go stale — an old post is worse than none.
- Uploading a file over the limit and assuming it worked.
- Posting the address on the video, which lives on after the sale.
The judgement call
Ten minutes a month. It is the cheapest local-search signal an agent controls.
Questions
Does this help me rank for my city?
It helps the profile look active for name and 'near me' searches; broader ranking comes from reviews and the website.
What if I do not have a profile?
Create one as an agent under your brokerage's address, verify it, and start with one post.
