The line: camera move versus alteration
- Not an alteration: a generated camera move whose every frame is drawn from your photographs, that opens on one and lands on another, and adds or removes nothing.
- An alteration: virtual staging, removed items, replaced skies or views, enhanced finishes, anything a buyer would not find at the showing.
- Rules on virtual staging generally require a disclosure; rules on ordinary photo editing generally do not. A camera move sits with the second group — but check your MLS.
How to check every clip
Freeze the first frame against your first photo and the last frame against your last. Scrub the middle for furniture, finishes and views that are not in the photos. The AI generators guide has the full checklist. If a frame fails, do not use the clip.
A safe caption
"Video generated from listing photographs; no items added or removed." It is true of every Villenza clip, it costs nothing, and it answers the question before anyone asks it. Where your MLS has its own required wording, use theirs.
Disclosure requirements differ by state, province and MLS. This guide is about making the video honest; what you must disclose, and where, is a question for your broker and your local rules.
Questions
Does Villenza do virtual staging?
No. It moves a camera through the photographs you supply and does not add, remove or change anything in them. Virtual staging is a different product with its own disclosure rules.
Can I upload a Villenza clip to the MLS?
As an unbranded video link, where your MLS allows video. Download the original and follow your board's rules on branding and hosting.
