How to Make an Orbit Real Estate Video

Circling a feature shows it from every side, the way you walk around something you're thinking of buying. It reads as premium.

What the orbit does

The camera circles around the room or the feature. Epic showcase of a hero feature, premium feel.

See the move

Circles around. Circle around a focal point. Inside the app, every move also has a 3D preview of the rig and the exact photo map it asks for.

The direction and feel of orbit, drawn on one sample photo — not a rendered clip. Villenza builds the real clip from your own three photos, opening on the first and landing on the last.

Best rooms for an orbit

  • Kitchen islands
  • Dining tables
  • Freestanding tubs
  • Pools and outdoor features

The 3 photos to take (plus 1 optional)

Take them in one visit, in the same light. The first photo is where the clip opens and the last is where it lands, so shoot them in the order the camera should travel.

  1. 1

    Front

Face the subject straight on — this is where the circle starts.

  2. 2

    From the left

Move a quarter of the way round to your left and shoot the same subject.

  3. 3

    Opposite side (optional)

Directly opposite where you started. Skip it for a half circle.

  4. 4

    From the right

A quarter of the way round to your right, same subject.

Tips for a better orbit

  • Keep the feature centred in every photo.
  • Stay the same distance from it all the way round.
  • The photo from the far side is optional — skip it for a half circle.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Drifting closer or further away as you go round.
  • Choosing a feature against a wall, which blocks the circle.
  • Uneven light as you move round it.

Not sure your photos will work? The AI Listing Planner reads a folder of photos, picks the move each room can support, and says what to re-shoot when a set won't work.

Questions

How many photos does an orbit need?

3 photos, plus 1 optional of the same room: first front, then from the left, then opposite side, last from the right. Take them in one visit in the same light — the orbit opens on the first and lands on the last.

Do I need four photos for an orbit?

No. Three — front, left and right — make a half circle, which is often enough. The fourth, from the opposite side, is optional and turns it into a fuller arc.

Is the orbit included on every Villenza plan?

Yes — the orbit, like every travel move, is on every plan at the same 720p HD output; plans differ only in listings per month.
