Does the set work?
The photos-to-video guide lists what a set needs. Old sets most often fail on missing middle frames, mixed edits, and photos from different visits. Try the wide-plus-feature pair first; add one photo if it needs it.
Has the property changed?
If anything visible has changed — a renovation, a storm, a new fence, a removed tree — re-shoot. A clip built from old photos is a representation of the old property. The post-disaster guide covers the strict version of this.
Do you have the rights?
Photos from a photographer are usually licensed for the listing they were shot for; using them for a new listing or a new agent may need the photographer's agreement. Photos you took yourself are yours.
Questions
Can I make a just-sold reel from the old listing photos?
Yes, as long as the rights allow and the video is presented as the sold property. It markets you, not the house.
My photographer keeps an archive. Is that useful?
Very: ask for the frames between the wide and the feature shot on each room. Many photographers shoot them and never deliver them.
