How to Make an Aerial Pass Real Estate Video

An aerial pass flies sideways along the front of the property at a constant height. The house slides by against its neighbourhood, and the buyer sees the setting — the trees, the street, the space around it — as well as the house itself.

What the aerial pass does

The drone flies sideways along the front of the property. The whole façade and lot slide by in one line.

See the move

Passes sideways. Sideways aerial pass. Inside the app, every move also has a 3D preview of the rig and the exact photo map it asks for.

The direction and feel of aerial pass, drawn on one sample photo — not a rendered clip. Villenza builds the real clip from your own three photos, opening on the first and landing on the last.

Best rooms for an aerial pass

  • Long frontages and estate homes
  • Homes with mature trees and landscaping
  • Streets where the setting sells the house
  • Reel openers that need width

The 3 photos to take

Take them in one visit, in the same light. The first photo is where the clip opens and the last is where it lands, so shoot them in the order the camera should travel.

    Left of the house

Aerial photo from off the left side of the property, facing the front — this is the opening frame.

  2. 2

    In front

Aerial photo from directly in front, same height.

  3. 3

    Right of the house

Aerial photo from off the right side, same height — where the pass finishes.

Tips for a better aerial pass

  • Fly parallel to the front of the house at one height and one distance.
  • Keep the camera pointed at the house, not ahead of the drone.
  • Take the three photos at the left, the centre and the right of the pass.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Changing height or distance during the pass.
  • Turning the camera to follow the house instead of keeping it square.
  • Neighbouring homes' private spaces in frame — check your local rules.

Questions

How many photos does an aerial pass need?

3 photos of the same property: first left of the house, then in front, last right of the house. Take them in one visit in the same light — the aerial pass opens on the first and lands on the last.

Is this the same as a drone orbit?

No. An orbit circles the house and shows all sides; a pass flies in a straight line along one side. The pass is calmer, shows the setting better, and needs only three photos from one line.

Is the aerial pass included on every Villenza plan?

Yes — the aerial pass, like every drone move, is on every plan at the same 720p HD output; plans differ only in listings per month.
